Annual Art Show - Feb. 4th - Mar. 8th
Latt Maxcy Memorial Library Annual Art Show – Entry deadline February 1st. Show will run Feb. 4 – March 8th. Two categories are offered this year: Photography: digital or film and Painting & Drawing. Awards reception will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Complete entry rules available at the library or call 863 635-7857 for details.
Polk Works One- Stop Bus comes to Frostproof
Thursday, January 17, 2013 - The Polk Works Mobile One-Stop bus will be near the library on West Wall Street from 9 a.m.– 4 p.m. to assist with creating/updating resumes, assessing job skills, job applications, food assistance applications, counseling services, training, job searching and unemployment claims.
Toddler Storytime begins January 16, 2013
Toddler Time – Toddler Time was created for children up to age four and their caregivers. Each session is a fun introduction to books, finger plays, action songs and rhymes. Toddler Time will begin on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 and will be offered Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. These sessions run approximately 30 minutes.
Polk County Supervisor of Elections Office Representatives to visit Library
Monday, January 14, 2013 – 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – Representatives from the Polk County Supervisor of Elections Office will be at the Library to provide a variety of services including: voter registration, updating names and addresses, changing party affiliations, or requesting absentee ballots.

Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. – The Cracked Walnuts present Music of the Civil War – The Lighter Side. Join us for a one-hour program that focuses on lighthearted, knee-slappin’ songs from the Civil War era. It doesn’t matter which side of the Mason Dixon Line you’re on – Jeff and Jan Ausfahl will delight us all with banjo and washboard music to such tunes as Old Dan Tucker and the Yellow Rose of Texas.
